1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MagicAuth ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

MagicAuth is operated by Rewarders Network ("we," "us," or "our") and provides passwordless authentication as a service to developers ("you" or "Developer").

2. Service Description

MagicAuth provides:

  • Passwordless authentication via magic links
  • API endpoints for sending and verifying authentication tokens
  • Analytics dashboard for tracking authentication events
  • Email delivery infrastructure for magic links
  • Customizable email templates and branding
  • Webhook integrations for authentication events

3. Account Types and Pricing

3.1 Free Tier (Ad-Supported)

  • Unlimited magic links - No monthly limits
  • Ad-supported emails - Magic link emails include sponsor advertisements
  • In-dashboard ads - Your dashboard may display advertisements
  • Basic analytics - 30-day data retention
  • Community support - Email support with standard response times
  • Standard rate limits - 100 requests per minute per IP

3.2 Custom Plans (Ad-Free)

Contact sales@magicauth.app for:

  • Ad-free experience - No advertisements in emails or dashboard
  • Custom email templates - Full HTML/CSS customization
  • Custom domain - Use your own domain for magic links
  • Higher rate limits - Up to 10,000 requests per minute
  • Extended analytics - Unlimited data retention
  • Priority support - Dedicated support channel
  • SLA guarantees - 99.9% uptime guarantee

4. Developer Responsibilities

4.1 API Key Security

  • Keep your API keys confidential and secure
  • Never expose API keys in client-side code or public repositories
  • Rotate API keys immediately if compromised
  • Use environment variables for API key storage

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited emails using the Service
  • Impersonate other users or entities
  • Bypass rate limits or abuse the API
  • Use the Service for illegal activities
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the Service
  • Resell the Service without authorization
  • Send magic links to email addresses without user consent

4.3 Domain Whitelisting

You must configure domain whitelisting in your dashboard to prevent unauthorized use of your API keys. Only requests from whitelisted domains will be accepted.

5. Service Availability and Limitations

5.1 Uptime

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance when possible.

5.2 Rate Limits

Free tier rate limits:

  • Send magic link: 100 requests per minute per IP
  • Verify token: 200 requests per minute per IP
  • API calls: 1,000 requests per hour per API key

5.3 Email Deliverability

We use industry-standard email providers (Mailgun, SendGrid) but cannot guarantee 100% delivery. Developers should implement retry logic and fallback mechanisms.

6. Data and Privacy

We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Developer data: Email, company name, API usage statistics
  • End user data: Email addresses, authentication timestamps, IP addresses (hashed)
  • Data retention: 90 days for free tier, custom retention for paid plans
  • Data export: Available via API or dashboard export
  • GDPR compliance: We comply with GDPR and CCPA regulations. Users have the right to access, rectify, or delete their data

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including but not limited to software, APIs, documentation, and branding, is owned by Rewarders Network and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may use our API and branding in accordance with these Terms, but you do not acquire any ownership rights to the Service.

8. Termination

8.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time through the dashboard settings. Upon termination, your API keys will be immediately revoked.

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • You engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior
  • Your account remains inactive for 12+ months
  • We are required to do so by law

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL REWARDERS NETWORK BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (OR $100 IF YOU'RE ON THE FREE TIER).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rewarders Network from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
